For the most serious-minded dancers, impeccable training preparing these young artists for long, meaningful careers is a must. The students in our two, separate conservatory programs train for careers in classical ballet, concert dance, musical theatre, film and more during daytime classes. Because of the nature of these programs, students in them must be home schooled.
Ballet Conservatory at Skyra
The Ballet Conservatory at Skyra is for serious-minded dancers training to enter a classical ballet company or contemporary concert dance. This advanced-level program is led by Ballet Program Director Natasha Glos and is divided into 2 levels: Pre-Pro 1 and Pre-Pro 2 and runs August through May. In addition to classical ballet technique, dancers also study pointe, variations, contemporary, modern, jazz, lyrical, emotions, and SkyraFit.
The Commercial Dance Conservatory at Skyra is for serious-minded dancers training to be in professional companies, national tours, on Broadway, film and more. This program is led by top industry professionals and runs August through May. Dancers in the program train six to eight hours per day, six days per week, with breaks for academics. Students will study ballet, musical theater, emotion, tap, jazz, contemporary, music theory, voice, performance technique, auditioning technique and acting. The commercial industry is highly competitive and it is our goal to give our students the education they need in order to become a triple threat!
