Each of our classes promote flexibility, stability, strength, and balance. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, Skyra Studios has a class that will benefit you. Fitness classes are for ages 16+.

Skyra Fit
This is our very own certified program developed by fitness and dance professionals with a focus on strength, conditioning and endurance for the dancer. This is a one-of-a-kind class and is very important for any type of dancer.
Skyra Skills
Skyra Skills is a customized class for dancers that focuses in on strength training, functional flexibility, alignment and injury prevention. This class will help dancers correct “bad habits” and find “correct placement” so that they become more aware of their body and therefore perform better in any dance class. This class will also focus on the five acrobatic arts divisions: Flexibility, Strength, Balance, Limbering and Tumbling. Skyra Studios is proud to be a acrobatic arts certified studio.
Barre Bellas
Set to upbeat music for motivation, our 55-minute class starts with a warm-up sequence of upper-body exercises using light free weights. It’s here that we target the biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest, back, and core muscles.
The BarreBellas™ program is heavily based on the Pilates principles helping you to create a balanced body while being safe with many available modifications for your personal needs. Using the ballet barre, we then move to exercises that focus on the thighs, gluteus, and calves. All while maintaining your elevated heart rate to maximize calorie burn.
Towards the end of each class there will be a stretch sequence.
Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates uses, a mat and your own body to perform seated and reclined exercises that challenge the entirety of your core, the area from your hips to your shoulders. The Reformer resembles a bed frame, equipped with cables, springs and a sliding carriage to perform many of the moves you do on a mat, and so much more. Both have value, but differ in execution.
